The project will integrate the re-modelling of classrooms and refurbishment of the existing school buildings, followed by the a 2nd phase of forming a new state of the art additional building including new classrooms, new reception and new staff rooms within the existing structure, which will expand the school. This will allow the school to grow and continue it’s as a two form entry school able to offer a range of services including its special language and communication centre.

During phase 1, the schools pupils were fully decanted to the left wing of the school whilst refurbishment works took place.

Mossford created a temporary safe site set up and new walkways to protect the public whilst works were on going.

Brickwork and concrete repairs were undertaken, within keeping to the typical Victorian image, whilst giving a rejuvenated image with new energy conscious doors and windows.

Phase 2
The centre is being built within the grounds of an existing occupied school, requiring close liaison with the Head Teacher and excellent Health & Safety measures to keep pupils, staff and visitors safe.

Mossford completed various packages throughout the contract to help construct a new single-storey children's centre. Environmental measures were incorporated into the design, the new children's centre will be comprehensively insulated and have hi-spec double-glazed windows to minimise energy use, and maintain very low running costs).
