The Library Refurbishment project is the creation of a flexible, accessible, technology rich study environment offering modern learning facilities for all ages. The Library has remained open and offering full service throughout the refurbishment, although inevitably parts of the building has had to be cordoned off for periods of time to allow works to take place in a safe environment.Through careful planning of the phases we have endeavoured to keep the book stock accessible during the project and to keep noise and disruption to a minimum, while ensuring that works are able to be completed as soon as possible.

Construction Details
Internal refurbishment and fit out of the entire Library to create a new children’s centre, and a new modern and efficient offices, all within keeping of the existing building. the refurbishment works included remodelling the existing facilities including new M&E services, decorations, a new canopy and installation of new ‘safe play’ surfaces outside the building. The construction of the new extension was carried out concurrently, with innovative design and construction methods employed to align it with the existing building.
