Description of works
A single-storey extension to a Victorian school to create a new kitchen. The servery hatches were formed in the existing external wall and two large openings were created involving significant temporary works.
The building was then formed from a steel frame with a brick outer skin and timber frame.
The ground works were particularly complicated by the temporary works required to support the corner of the adjacent Victorian building and an old plant room semi basement.
New door sets, demountable ceilings and vinyl flooring completed the internal decorations.
We also refurbished the sports hall.
