The Mossford team will be attending their annual health and safety day on Wednesday 11th March at the Woolston Manor Golf & Country Club.
After Antony gives his opening welcome and an update on the two companies, we will be running a session designed by Esteem Ltd and used on their excellent Construction Site Management modern apprenticeship programmes designed to make everyone think about who is responsible if there is an accident and where actions taken by individuals or groups could have made a scenario have a happier outcome.
We will then take the opportunity to face fit test everyone again for their JSP Force 8 Press to Check respirators.
We have invited Quelfire Ltd to give a presentation on their passive fire protection products.
After lunch we will have two Toolbox Talks from our experienced site managers, Barry and Daryl on the subjects of confined spaces and lead safety and a session updating everyone on policies such as Equal Opportunities, Drugs & Alcohol, and GDPR.
Michelle will present a one-hour training session on COSHH assessment and give everyone the opportunity to work through a practical example on products that we use often.
Our Contracts Manager Terry and Estimator Joe will then present on dust risks and new rules regarding welding fumes.
Finally, we open the floor to everyone to comment on the things they have learned during the day, current health & safety best practice, and new rules and regulations. It's an opportunity for everyone to state their case, for example if some item of PPE is causing an issue or to propose measures of their own.
Michelle will present a new award for the "most useful" operative of the past 12 months and apparently it is someone's birthday so there might be cake...
