ABOUT
Mossford Construction was established in 1979 and is based in Loughton, Essex, ideally placed on the border of Essex, Hertfordshire and North & East London. We have extensive experience in both main contracting and subcontracting. We have acted as principal on significant projects for private and local authority clients and undertaken large single and multi trade subcontracts for a variety of large firms.
Mossford is divided into three key areas.

We also carry out a large number of miscellaneous builders work / incidental items packages where individual tasks are often too small for single trade subcontractors but where it makes financial sense to combine smaller tasks into one subcontract.
If you need something done on your site and are unsure of whom to ask, chances are we can carry out the work for you. For example, we have recently clad staircases, infilled an air raid shelter, arranged for fish to be relocated, re-homed hedgehogs, dismantled and re-built medical gas storage cages, built welfare facilities in various old buildings, tinted some brick, abseiled in various places and cleaned pigeon droppings off the bell at Imperial College. Never a dull moment.
THE TEAM
ANTONY LUXTON BSc TIFireE
Director
Antony is Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, and a qualified quantity surveyor. He holds an SMSTS certificate and is qualified in the use of BIM in construction projects. He has recently passed the IFE Level 3 in Passive Fire Protection.
His previous experience is with large contracting firms and acting in South American soap operas.

Antony successfully completed the London Marathon in 2019 in a time of 4 hours 54 minutes then had to have a week off. He also finished the marathon in 2021 in 4 hours 24 minutes. He only needed a day off this time though.

MICHELLE MOORE CertIOSH MIIRSM DipFD
Operations Director
As Operations Director, Michelle manages the safety, health and environmental processes and the passive fire protection business.
She holds an NVQ7 in Construction Senior Management and NVQ6 in Occupational Health & Safety as well as a range of safety, assessing, and training qualifications. She assesses a number of NVQ's and manages Mossford's training division. She installs and maintains our IT network and runs this website.

Michelle took part in Swimathon in 2022 and completed 60 lengths (1500m) in 59 minutes 48 seconds, which sounds quite good until you realise that the world record is 15 minutes 43 seconds.
CHRISTINE GRAYLEN
Accounts Manager
Christine has been with Mossford since the 1990s. She manages all our accounting processes and runs our office. She also makes the best tea, or so she says although it does not conform to ISO 3103.

An armchair equestrian, she can tell her numnah's from her ergots.

JOE DEL GROSSO
Estimator
Joe prices the majority of our construction projects and is your first contact if you are interested in joining the Mossford supply chain.
Joe has recently completed his NVQ 6 in Construction Operations Management and holds a black CSCS card.
TERRY MALTBY
Contracts Manager
Terry Maltby is our Contracts Manager and comes to us with a wealth of experience delivering projects across a variety of sectors and with a tools-based background. He has recently completed his NVQ 6 in Construction Operations Management. He is also one of our passive fire protection supervisors.
Terry is an accomplished Drum & Bass DJ. He also presented himself as a useless golfer shortly before soundly beating everyone else in the company.

BARRY COLLINS
Assistant Contracts Manager
Barry has completed his NVQ3 Occupational Work Supervision and holds a Gold CSCS card. He is SMSTS, first aid, and PASMA trained and a temporary works supervisor.

Barry is one of our fire protection supervisors and holds a Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection.

DARYL COOLING
Site Manager
Daryl has been with Mossford longer than anyone. Since he left school in fact. He is a demon with paperwork and has received the most H&S commendations from our clients.
He is SMSTS, first aid, PASMA, and IPAF trained, has an HNC in Building Studies gaining him an Academically Qualified Person CSCS card.

He is one of our fire protection supervisors and holds a Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection.
Daryl is also, apparently, an accomplished exotic dancer.

KEVIN JOHNSON
Site Manager
Kevin joined the team proper after working with us as a tradesman and supervisor for five years. He has completed his site managers training which includes SMSTS, first aid, PASMA, L3 Occupational Work Supervision, and IPAF. He is also trained as a temporary works supervisor.
He is one of our fire protection supervisors and holds a Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection. Kevin is also a qualified electrician.
