Description of works
A small extension and infill to a school kitchen and various refurbishment and change of use works to classrooms and offices.

This was a particularly difficult project as we only had the six week vacation period to complete the groundworks, masonry, roofing and all the internal fit out alongside the kitchen installation team working for Kier.

The extension needed some complicated steel where masonry walls had to be removed and this had to be designed by the structural engineer, priced, manufactured, delivered and installed after work had commenced.

Part of the existing kitchen was the rear wall of a spiral staircase so hygienic cladding and vinyl flooring had to be fashioned around the curve.

In other parts of the school a new access route was created allowing for wheelchairs to easily move from reception to classrooms.

General redecorations to classrooms and offices and some new demountable ceilings completed the scope of works.
